Jay-Z meets the Grateful Dead
This is incredible! I've never listened to Jay-Z or the mash-up that
they did with his "Black Album" and the Beatles' "White Album"
(cleverly titled "The Grey Album") - but this mash up of mostly studio
Grateful Dead and Jay-Z's record is pretty incredible. The whole thing is available for download in MP3 and you can buy the CD with a donation to their Bandwidth Fund for $10 - i highly recommend it.
UPDATE: Turns out my comments have made it back to the SpinJunkies as they now have a quote from me on their homepage, very nice. Side note, I'm also the one that submitted it to Fark.
Stand-out tracks so far are "99 Problems" and "Change Clothes" - damn! The SpinJunkies obviously know their GD and their Jay-Z real well and it shows, this is not just something thrown together - these beats are well thought out and every bit as "slammin" as each artist is on their own. Prefect soundtrack for Summer 2004.

Forget American Idol!
This one is going straight to the top of the international pop charts for sure. Jack and I co-wrote our first single on my new iBook using GarageBand (part of their iLife series of programs). It's called "Jack-a-Beat" and you can get it here. 50 seconds of pseudo-techno baby jams.
I have to say that GarageBand is pretty sweet. It's obviously a really dumbed-down song creation program but if you want to just whip up something and work it around a recording of a 6 month old laughing in an hour, I couldn't recommend it more!
Let us know what you think and please pass it around - this mp3 comes with no strings attached (unless of course Apple wants to work it into one of their commercials, call me).
Listening to this Week:
The Pixies "Wave Of Mutilation: Best Of Pixies"
Lou Reed "Live in Italy"
Astrud Gilberto "Astrud Gilberto's Finest Hour"

nnnnnnnnnnnnn kkkkkk;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
That was Jack's first internet transmission over ICQ (like AOL Instant Messenger for sending text messages over the internet) to his Uncle Tim just a few moments ago. So proud we are. And now it's time for lunch... this little life goes on.

Typing with one hand....
It's amazing all the things you can do with one free hand and a baby in the other. New pictures posted today, so many more still to go up. Jack's 10 weeks tomorrow. Baby talk starting, the jack we will come to know is starting to awaken - such a sweet little boy already. Aaron said you can just stare at them for hours and you can; we do. Alright, he's getting heavy, enjoy the pics.

We're all a month older now...
Sure, we're all a month older now but for Jack, he's just a month old now! Wow, that went fast. In that time we had Thanksgiving, grown a whole inch and a half and put on 3 pounds! I just posted 3 new galleries of the boy over here.

Jack is here!!
Things have finally calmed down enough for me to update everyone and the good news. Jack was born on November 3, 2003 at 11:14 am and came in at 6.12 ounces and 20 inches. Everything went pretty well and mom and baby are doing great. See the Gallery for pics of this beautiful boy!

Happy Halloween!
Halloween is definitely a favorite holiday around our house. I didn't even feel like carving pumpkins last night but I couldn't let the spirits down and wound up carving a couple of beauties, I'll post some pics later.
So much for Jack being a "jack-o-lantern" unless something happens in the next 7 hours... you never know I suppose.
Well, if you're in the neighborhood, stop on by for some good candy, not that junk the neighbors hand out ;^)
